FAIBORN — Students at Wright State University protested in solidarity today with those at the University of Missouri. Tristina Allen, the president of the Black Student Union at Wright State, says not many steps have been taken to make black students feel more included. Students today came together to take a stand and hold faculty and staff accountable. “This march was already going to happen, despite what popular belief think, we actually had a march coming up. But, it happened to be in solidarity as well with University of Missouri,” Allen said. “Everyone should feel safe at their university and black students are more than a quota.” She said there’s also a lack of funding for black organizations on campus and no explanation why.
